The Art of doing Nothing – Nothing whatsoever. What type of a vacationer or holidaymaker are you? Do you need a barrage of activities? Something to keep your mind and body occupied. Or are you the complete opposite? Do you celebrate the Art of doing Nothing? Do you consider yourself a master of doing nothing whatsoever during your holiday? Perhaps you and your partner are a mixed bag – after all, opposites attract. Or does a vacation with the family require a mixture of activities with some occasional down time? Where can you find a place with a subtle combination of both? Why does it have to be one way or the other? Well, at the Sandpearl Resort – It doesn’t have to be one way or the other. You’re going to have it how you want at the Sandpearl. Your loved one can enjoy Sunset Yoga on the beach, while you get ready for Tate’s fire pit to light up, as you finish soaking up the final rays of the day in your sun lounger. Don’t worry about the kids, they’re playing away the hours at Camp Ridley, and they’ve probably been doing so for a good part of the day.
Our room at the Sandpearl Resort offered a spectacular view of the Gulf of Mexico. In the distance we could see the Clearwater Pier, and the white powdery sand of Clearwater Beach beckoned you to leave your room.
The room, much like the lobby, favors comfort with elegance, complete with all your desires fulfilled. Enjoy a daily turndown service, laze about your room in your Sandpearl slippers and robe, and don’t forget to decide whether you’re going to watch the sunset from your balcony or the beach.
With a breathtaking sunset over the Gulf, we wouldn’t be hesitant in saying that we were spoiled to enjoy such a natural splendor from the comfort of our balcony.
The Sandpearl offers several dining options such as Caretta on the Gulf, Tate Island Grill, and the Marketplace. The oceanfront Tate Island Grill, near the pool, is a great place to enjoy a bite to eat in an easygoing beach environment, while the Marketplace is excellent for light snacks and drinks. Of course, you can lounge on the beach all day and order from the Tate Island Grill, which will be brought directly to you. On the other hand, you have a nice array of dining options for room service as well.
The Sandpearl boasts Clearwater’s only AAA Four-Diamond restaurant Caretta on the Gulf. Offering indoor and outdoor seating, with breathtaking views of the Gulf, Caretta’s offers all-natural organic menu with paired organic wines, in addition to their standard menu. Caretta on the Gulf also has a celebrated Sunday Brunch which includes Champagne and Mimosas.
Relaxing in a beach chair on Sandpearl’s private beach while ordering lunch (or even being greeted with a glass of Champagne upon checking into the Resort) is just one of the many extraordinary perks of the Sandpearl.
Are children in your party? Consider Camp Ridley which provides daily activities for the younger crowd. During our stay, we noted that there was a Art Project scheduled, followed
by a Relay Race, and a Scavenger Hunt. Not only is there fun in the sun for the kids – but the adults as well!
Jealous of the activities for kids? Don’t be. The enrichment programs and activities are bountiful for adults too. For a fee, partake in a Kayaking Eco-Tour, Stand Up Paddleboard Eco-Tour, Dolphin Exploration Tour, or aSunset Celebration Cruise. At Sunset, there’s Family S’mores Night, while poolside catch a “Movie Under the Stars” or enjoy a bicycle ride down Clearwater.
Fitness classes are available every day. Sunrise and Sunset Yoga on the beach is available Saturday and Sunday. On another note, the Sandpearl Resort is a LEED Certified resort, which stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design. As one of only ten certified Silver LEED resorts in the United States, the Sandpearl is committed to natural resource and water conservation, energy efficiency, and more. We laude this commitment to the environment in such a spectacular and exciting setting as Clearwater Beach.
The Sandpearl Spa has various spa treatments and seasonal spa treatment specials, including organic facials and special occasion make-up. This spa was named by readers of Condé Nest Traveler as “One of the Top Spas in North America.”
The saddest part of every vacation is the end. But the Business Center near the front lobby has all your computing and printing needs taken care of. In fact, the Business Center was ideal for quickly printing your boarding pass. You have too many other activities to focus on during your stay, and finding where to print your boarding pass for the journey home should be on the bottom of your list.
At the Sandpearl Resort, the world is your oyster.
