From Japanese Master Chef Masaharu Morimoto comes Morimoto Asia Restaurant at Disney Springs. Morimoto Asia Restaurant is fresh, happening, and exciting. The atmosphere of Morimoto Asia makes you feel like you’re in a buzzing metropolis. With a fashionable modern design and pan-asian favorites to taste, this restaurant is hip. There are ample options to choose from for your dining experience. There’s even a Forbidden Sushi Lounge.

Dining at Morimoto encourages plate sharing. This is a great way to sample more of the incredible cuisine that Morimoto has to offer. Our server, Robert, was attentive, genuine, and truly informative. He made sure that our experience was great.

For Starters, we ordered small plates: Sesame Balls, Pork Dumplings, Morimoto Spare Ribs, and a Spicy Salmon Roll.

The Sesame Balls with Sweet Red Bean Paste and White Sesame were wonderful as a Starter. Surprisingly, you can eat these delights at any time during dining experience. Their softly nectarous taste makes them perfect for Dessert as well.

The full-flavored Pork Dumplings with Pork, Napa Cabbage, and Garlic Chives were a sight to behold as they arrived in traditional baskets. The succulent dumplings were enticing.

For the Spicy Salmon Roll, we decided to add a Tempura Crunch atop the Salmon, Spicy Mayo, and Scallion. This provided a nice textural variety with the Salmon. One also has the option of choosing Brown or White Rice. We decided on White Rice.

The “Star of the Show” was the Morimoto Spare Ribs. These Pork Ribs with Hoisin Sweet Chili Glaze were falling off the bone. We recommend stopping by Morimoto just to taste these delectable Ribs, even if you aren’t that hungry.

For our Main Course, we chose the Orange Chicken.  The Orange Chicken was a pleasant crunchy Tempura Chicken that was wok-tossed with a Sweet Florida Orange Sauce accompanied by Chinese Broccoli.

For Dessert, we chose the Cream Caramel, an airy and subtly sweet dessert with Yuzu Caramel Sauce, Black Sesame, Whipped Cream, and Black Sesame Air Cake. We recommend this dessert for those of you who want a light and creative break from the typical dessert fare.
