Join Orlando’s Largest Dog Walk, Festival and Fundraiser Featuring Adoptable Dogs, Pet-Friendly Vendors, Doggy Sports, Food Trucks, a Beer Garden and Much More
It’s time again for pet lovers from all across Central Florida to join together with Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando at the hugely popular “Paws in the Park” community fundraising event and festival returning to beautiful Lake Eola Park on Saturday, February 9 for the 25th anniversary year! Paws in the Park supports Pet Alliance’s mission to educate, shelter, place and heal pets and their families with compassionate, responsible care, and the event provides support for the more than 7,000 homeless pets who will be cared for at Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando’s two shelters this year.
Kicking off at 10am is the commemorative walk around Lake Eola. Participants and their furry family members can register online, form a team and invite their friends and family to join for the moving walk. From 11am-4pm, all attendees are encouraged to bring their fur pals for a full day of both “human” and “canine” activities, food and fun, including the famous dock diving for dogs, canine sports area, special activities areas for pets and children, plus a new easier to navigate layout. Paws in the Park also features a beer garden, food trucks, pet-friendly vendors, raffles and lots of pet adoption opportunities.
“Thanks to the huge community support, we are thrilled to have provided homes for thousands of animals and other valuable services for pets in need for over 80 years,” says Special Events Manager Caryn Freas. “It is our great pleasure to welcome back Paws in the Park for our milestone 25th anniversary year, and we cannot wait to see Lake Eola Park filled with animal lovers and their beloved furry family members.”
About Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando
Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando was founded in 1937 as the Orlando Humane Society and as such is one of the state’s oldest and largest animal welfare agencies. Operating from a tiny house with a big heart, the organization’s mission was to instill “the spirit of kindness and mercy” while providing refuge for both “unfortunate” animals and children. Today, the Pet Alliance has a dedicated focus on the welfare and wellbeing of animals in Orange, Seminole and Osceola counties in Central Florida. As the “go to” experts in Greater Orlando, Pet Alliance does good things for dogs and cats and the people who love them. The goal is to provide compassionate and knowledgeable services for pets and to be leaders in innovative animal care and veterinary medicine. For more information, visit
