Experiencing fine dining, dining that separates itself from others, brings a heightened level of sophistication that surpasses many. That, in and off itself, is sufficient to describe our experience at Eddie V’s. I’m tempted to stop the review here so you can go and experience Eddie V’s for yourself. What more can I say?

Eddie V’s has an elegant and relaxing atmosphere with a live jazz band playing in the V Lounge. Our table overlooked Little Sand Lake, which afforded us a beautiful view of the Orlando Eye in the distance. A fantastic view for what was to be fantastic evening.

To begin our evening, we ordered Pacific Tartare Ahi Tuna from the Oyster Bar. Our talented server Jared arrived with the Pacific Tartare Ahi Tuna which was atop a bed of Mango, accompanied with a touch of Curry and Sesame Oil, sliced Avocado, and Citrus. This created a bit of a quandary, if you can call it that, because how can the meal get any better as the night goes on? Alas, it did.

For our following Appetizer we chose the Maine Lobster Tacos. A sheer joy, consisting of succulent Maine Lobster with Guacamole, Corn, and Cilantro in a house made Tortilla.

For our Second Course, we ordered the Heirloom Tomato Salad. An excellent palate cleanser in preparation for our Main Course. The Tomatoes tasted ripe and fresh from the vine, topped with Basil, a splash of Olive Oil, and aged Balsamic Glaze. Note that the photograph below is of a half portion.

For our Main Courses, we had the North Atlantic Lemon Sole and the Chilean Sea Bass; both of which were spectacular, and are understandably favorites. The presentation here was absolutely beautiful. The Sea Bass was served with a Hong Kong style sauce on a bed of sautéed Spinach and fresh Ginger. The Sea Bass was cooked to perfection, and the very light sauce was a perfect compliment. With a touch of Cilantro, this is a dish you’ll be dreaming about for weeks to come.

The North Atlantic Lemon Sole was served crisp in a very light Parmesan Breadcrumb Crust, accompanied by a fresh Tomato and Herb Salad and a Lemon Garlic Butter sauce. Once again, beautiful presentation and flavor.

For our Side Dishes we opted for the Maine Lobster Mashed Potatoes, and the Brussels Sprouts with Bacon and Shallots. Both of these sides were incredible alone, and complimented our Main Courses wonderfully. Side dish portions are on the larger side, so we would recommend sharing.

For Desserts, we chose the Butterscotch Panna Cotta and Toasted S’mores. The Butterscotch Panna Cotta was topped with Salted Caramel and Walnut Pralines with Biscotti and Fresh Mint. This is a very light and absolutely delicious dessert which we would highly recommend.

The Toasted S’mores are certain to satisfy your sweet tooth. This dessert consisted of a Toasted Vanilla Bean Marshmallow, served with Dark Chocolate and crushed Toffee pieces. This mouthwatering treat should not be missed. Make sure you save room for dessert!

To be brief, as brevity is the soul of wit, we cannot call our evening a Eddie V’s anything short of sensational. This is fine dining at it’s best. Thank you for hosting us.
