We were warmly received at the Lakeside Bar and Grill to taste the menu for the Magical Dining Month. We were looked after by a friendly server named Maria who took care of us the entire evening.
The Lakeside Bar & Grill is intimately located in the lobby of the Bohemian Hotel Celebration. This means that you are in the center of it all while you dine. The decor is artistically eclectic with earthy touches.
The Magical Dining Month enables you to order an appetizer, main course, and dessert for only $33 per person.
To start, we were provided with three appetizers on the Magical Dining Month menu; this included the Filet Mignon Eggroll, the Heirloom Tomatoes and Burrata, and Fish Chips. The star of the appetizers was the Filet Mignon Eggroll. The texture of the Eggroll contrasted well with the Filet Mignon. The Eggroll was sliced into bite sizes. The Sweet Chili Sauce went perfectly with Filet Mignon and the Papaya and Lotus Root Salsa.
The Heirloom Tomatoes and Burrata are, as always, an ideal appetizer. The creamy Mozzarella melted in your mouth with the Florida Heirloom Tomatoes and dash of aged Balsamic, not to forgot the essential Micro Basil and Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
The Fish Chips was deep-fried wild caught Rainbow Smelt with Moroccan Aioli and Fresh Lemon. This dish is well-suited for fish lovers.
Next, we chose our entrees. On the Magical Dining Month menu, there are four entrees to choose from: Mediterranean Salmon Ginger Chicken, Pan Seared Scallops, and Pork Tenderloin. We chose the Ginger Chicken and Pan Seared Scallops.
The Ginger Chicken is a Ginger Glazed Chicken Breast with roasted Fennel, Haricot Vert, Asparagus, Artichoke Hearts, Grape Tomatoes, Fingerling Potatoes, Arugula, with Walnut Vinaigrette- simply put- a lovely and zesty balance.
The Citrus Hot and Sour Glaze Pan Seared Scallops were in a bed of Baby Carrots, Radish, Sugar Snap Peas and Grape Tomatoes. These mouthwatering Scallops were smooth while the Radish and Sugar Snap Peas were a delicious combination.
Lastly, the dessert options included Salted Caramel Cheesecake, Key Lime Pie, and Chocolate Lava Cake. We tasted the Salted Caramel Cheesecake and the Key Lime Pie. The desserts were a perfect portion- not too sizable yet big enough to enjoy thoroughly.
The Caramel Cheesecake was lightly crusted with nuts that added a delightful crunch to contrast with the smooth texture of the cheesecake.
The Graham Cracker Crust of the Key Lime Pie was accompanied by a Raspberry drizzle and Raspberries atop the pie. A delicious ending to a wonderful meal.
In all, the Magical Dining Menu for the Lakeside Bar and Grill will delight you. Thank you for hosting us.
