Del Frisco’s is synonymous with fine dining. The restaurant is beautifully designed, and offers a warm and inviting ambiance. The team at Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse – from the Chef to the Servers – create an experience that is exceptional. Our wonderful and knowledgable server Nia ensured we had a fantastic evening.

We began our evening with two Cocktails: The Smoky Paloma and The VIP. The Smoky Paloma, with Avion Silver Tequila, Aperol, Fresh Squeezed Ruby Red Grapefruit Juice, and Smoked Chili Bitters is reminiscent of a relaxing summer afternoon. The grapefruit juice adds a refreshing element to the ensemble.

The VIP, Svedka Clementine Vodka Infused with Fresh Hawaiian Pineapple, was a smart cocktail, particularly with the invigorating Hawaiian Pineapple notes. In addition, there is an extensive wine selection to consider.

For Starters, we ordered the Tuna Tartare, and the Seared Rare Wagyu Beef Carpaccio. Both items are new editions to the menu. They showcase how Del Frisco’s continues to innovate, and remain a stellar restaurant. The Tuna Tartare was atop a bed of Avocado over a Sesame Soy Sauce. This cool and flavorsome dish was the ideal Starter to a rich and exciting evening.

The Seared Rare Wagyu Beef Carpaccio, with Baby Arugula, Shaved Fennel, Capers, Parmesan, and Creole Mustard Aioli, was a dazzling Starter. Indeed, you may have to remind yourself to save room for your main course. This innovative Starter is a showstopper. Wagyu Beef, which is rich in flavor, showcases wonderfully here, particularly in combination with the piquant Capers and aromatic Fennel. The Creole Mustard Aioli pairs nicely with the Wagyu Beef.

For our Side Dishes, we ordered the King Crab Gnocchi and Shaved Brussels Sprouts. The Shaved Brussels Sprouts, complimented by Bacon, offered fantastic texture and flavor. The King Crab Gnocchi was terrific. To put it simply, if you like crab then your heart will soar with this Side Dish.

For our Entrées, we chose the Prime Braised Short Rib and the 22 oz. Bone-In Prime Strip. The Prime Braised Short Rib accompanied with Butter Root Vegetables, Chateau Mashed Potatoes, and Braising Sauce was divine. The aroma of the dish saturated the air upon arrival, and enhanced each taste. The Short Rib was tender, and easily fell apart with each bite. This dish was festive, and offered a touch of familiarity that comes with the Fall.

The perfectly cooked and seasoned Bone-In Prime Strip with a side of Bourbon Peppercorn sauce was incredible. Del Frisco’s has remained a stellar steakhouse for over 30 years for a reason, we suggest you order a steak. On another note, we reccommend ordering your steak with the Bone-In – it certainly enhanced the flavor of the Prime Strip.

For Dessert, we ordered the Lemon Cake and the Butter Cake. The Lemon Cake possesses six layers, and comes with Lemon Buttercream Icing and Lemon Glaze. This delicious Dessert was light, yet rich and moist. The moreish Lemon Cake is a zesty and sweet treat.

The Butter Cake, with Butter Pecan Ice Cream, Fresh Whipped Cream, and Caramel Sauce, was soft, but crisp on the outside. The Butter Cake may easily be one of the best Desserts you’ve ever had. The Caramel Sauce dances on the Dessert, and the combination of all the ingredients manifest into a toothsome delight.
