Concept features seafood offerings, lobster roll counter
and full bar
Floridians might be familiar with dining beachside, but a newly announced restaurant will transport them to a whole new coast – right in Winter Park.
East Hampton Bait & Tackle Co. will deliver a New England flair from feel to fare, mixing laid back beach vibes with city chic. The restaurant will be located at 1035 N. Orlando Ave.
The concept comes from restauranteur Greg Pranzo, who recently opened Cinco Tacos + Tequila nearby. Pranzo took inspiration from the many summers he spent in the Hamptons.
“East Hampton Bait & Tackle Co. combines influences from East Quogue, West Hampton, Hampton Bays, Southampton, Bridgehampton, East Hampton, Watermill, Sag Harbor, Amagansett, and Montauk,” Pranzo said. “It’s authentic, combining a high-end ambiance with delicious, fresh seafood.”
Local venture capitalist Michael “Q” Quatrini is a partner on the project.
East Hampton Bait & Tackle Co. will offer both full service and fast casual options, as well as an indoor/outdoor bar. Guests can order from a menu featuring a fantastic selection of seafood, including East and West Coast oysters, three types of lobster rolls, stone crabs in season, and sushi. Other standouts include a beef Wellington that must be ordered 48 hours in advance with reservation and a housemade baked Alaska.
Brunch will be offered seven days a week. Guests can also grab a quick lobster roll from the fast casual counter from open until close.
A full bar will open up to a beautiful patio with water features and fountains. Wine, craft cocktails and craft beers from Long Island will be served.
Décor will have a nautical feel, but it will also embody the upscale Hamptons lifestyle.
“Winter Park is the Hamptons of Central Florida,” Quatrini said. “It’s the place to be and be seen. We want East Hampton Bait & Tackle to reflect that lifestyle.”
The restaurant is slated to open in November.
